The overall four-hour chart's uptrend remains intact. Prices continue to build higher lows along the Bollinger Band middle line, with limited pullbacks and a solid bullish base. Although MACD has edged lower, there has been no significant expansion in bearish volume.

Gold prices have risen in a choppy move from around the 4360 low since yesterday, surging to the intraday high of 4440 during the U.S. session before heavy selling concentrated.
