I spent the last two days glued to my screen and honestly, my bracket is completely destroyed. The round of 32 kicked off and delivered exactly the kind of chaos that makes this tournament impossible to predict.
Canada made history on June 29, becoming the first team to reach the round of 16. Stephen Eustáquio buried a right footed shot in the 92nd minute, bottom corner, past Ronwen Williams. South Africa pushed forward looking for an equalizer but Canada held firm. First knockout stage win in Canadian history. They'll face either the Netherlands or Morocco on July 4 in Houston for a spot in t

That Canada goal made me jump straight off the couch. A 92nd-minute winner is just too clutch. Eustáquio's strike is something to brag about for a lifetime.

Fear index is 12—this data looks like late 2022 again. But the record ETF outflows really are brutal. Miner costs are 78k, while the spot is 60k. How is this spread supposed to hold?

I've been watching Hyperliquid's HYPE token closely this past week and honestly, the data tells a pretty interesting story. The token hit an all-time high of $76.70 on June 16, but since then it's been pulling back hard down about 22% from that peak to around $59–$61 as of today. That puts it roughly 16.9% below its record high of $76.76.
Price & Market Metrics (as of June 29)
Current price is hovering around $64,8 with a market cap of about $15.7 billion. 24-hour trading volume sits around $342–$448 million. Circulating supply is approximately 253 million HYPE with a max supply of 1 billion.

Bitwise’s 1.775M stake really is something; the institutional money moving in is more real than any “trading calls” people tout.

I spent the weekend planted on my couch with way too much coffee and honestly, I'm still processing everything that went down. The group stage wrapped up and the knockout rounds kicked off, and this tournament keeps delivering exactly the kind of chaos I was hoping for.
June 26 – Records Tumbling
Ousmane Dembele did something I'll be talking about for years. Twenty-five minutes. That's all it took for him to complete a first-half hat-trick against Norway. He became the first player to score a first-half hat-trick at a men's World Cup since Oleg Salenko in 1994. Norway left Haaland on the bench

Senegal made African history with 5 goals, Sarr surpasses Diop as the team's all-time top scorer, this World Cup group stage was truly worth watching.

I spent the morning catching up on all the matches I missed while sleeping in. The group stage wrapped up and honestly, some of these results still don't feel real.
June 26 – Group Stage Finale Begins
Netherlands secured top spot in Group F with a 3-1 win over Tunisia, overtaking Japan to claim first place. Mexico finished Group A with a perfect record, beating the Czech Republic 3-0 in their final match. Germany demolished Curaçao 7-1 in Group E, while Ecuador beat Germany 2-1 in a separate match. Belgium smashed New Zealand 5-1 with Trossard scoring twice and De Bruyne firing in a stunner fr

The group stage wrapped up and the knockout rounds kicked off, and honestly, I'm still processing everything that went down. The expanded format delivered exactly the chaos it promised—history made, records broken, and some heavy hitters looking vulnerable.
Group Stage Finale (June 27)
France made a statement, thrashing Norway 4-1 with Ousmane Dembele scoring a hat-trick in just 32 minutes—the second-earliest hat-trick in World Cup history. Dembele's treble was the third of this tournament after Messi and Jonathan David. France topped Group I and will face Sweden in the round of 32.

I woke up this morning and checked the scores and honestly my jaw dropped. Senegal put five past Iraq. Five. In a World Cup group match. That's never happened before for an African team. Never. Habib Diarra opened the scoring in the fourth minute, and then Iraq lost a man to a red card in the thirteenth. But even with ten men, they held on until halftime. Then Senegal just exploded. Ismaila Sarr scored his fourth career World Cup goal, breaking Papa Bouba Diop's all-time record for the nation. Papa Gueye came off the bench and smashed two absolute rockets from outside the box. Group stage wrapped up and honestly I'm still processing what Ecuador did to Germany. Two minutes in Sane puts Germany ahead, everyone thinks it's business as usual. Then Ecuador just refuses to fold. Angulo levels it in the ninth minute, and Plata pokes in the winner in the 78th. Germany had already secured top spot but they played their starters and still got turned over. Ecuador finished third in the group with four points and sneaked through as one of the best third-placed teams. First time they've made it out of the group stage in twenty years. That's the kind of chaos this expanded forma
