I spent the last two days glued to my screen and honestly, my bracket is completely destroyed. The round of 32 kicked off and delivered exactly the kind of chaos that makes this tournament impossible to predict.

Canada made history on June 29, becoming the first team to reach the round of 16. Stephen Eustáquio buried a right footed shot in the 92nd minute, bottom corner, past Ronwen Williams. South Africa pushed forward looking for an equalizer but Canada held firm. First knockout stage win in Canadian history. They'll face either the Netherlands or Morocco on July 4 in Houston for a spot in the quarter finals.

Brazil had to work for it. Japan frustrated them all first half with a disciplined 5-4-1 shape, then Kaishu Sano intercepted a bad pass from Danilo in the 29th minute and drilled a low strike past Alisson for his first international goal. Brazil came out after halftime with way more intensity. Casemiro headed one in from a Gabriel Magalhaes cross in the 56th minute to level it. Then deep into stoppage time, Bruno Guimaraes slipped a perfectly weighted pass to Gabriel Martinelli, who squeezed it past the keeper in the 95th minute. Brazil are through to the round of 16 for the 11th straight World Cup.

Germany got knocked out. I'm still processing that. Paraguay took the lead first through Julio Enciso, Germany equalized, and after 120 minutes it was 1-1. Then penalties. Jose Canale scored on the first sudden death kick, Orlando Gill made two key saves, and Paraguay won 4-3. Biggest upset of the tournament so far. Germany are out in the round of 32.

The Netherlands face Morocco later today in Monterrey. France take on Sweden at MetLife Stadium. France swept through Group I with a perfect record, scoring 10 goals across three wins. Ivory Coast play Norway at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard are expected to return for Norway after being rested in the group finale. Mexico face Ecuador at the Azteca with the home crowd behind them. Mexico haven't conceded a single goal in four matches now.

The bracket is wide open. Germany gone. Canada making history. Brazil scraping through. I honestly don't know who takes this thing.

Brazil’s game was a pure rollercoaster: in the first half, Japan’s 5-4-1 setup rendered them helpless, and it wasn’t until the final 95 minutes that they struck the decisive goal—my heart can’t take it.

That Canada goal made me jump straight off the couch. A 92nd-minute winner is just too clutch. Eustáquio's strike is something to brag about for a lifetime.

After watching this round, it feels like no matter who wins, it wouldn’t be surprising—Germany is already out, Brazil almost blew it, and the Netherlands vs. Morocco match hasn’t even been played yet. #PredictWorldCupWin40000U In this event, betting now is no different from flipping a coin.

Germany's penalty shootout elimination, I still haven't recovered from it. Paraguay goalkeeper Gill's two saves were like a god of goalkeepers possessed, there are too many upsets in this tournament.
