Aptos Foundation Permanently Locks 210M APT
The Aptos Foundation has committed to permanently locking and staking 210 million APT. Roughly 37% of the tokens it held at mainnet launch.
These tokens will never be sold or distributed. Instead, the Foundation will fund its operations using the staking rewards generated by the locked APT.
This move removes a significant portion of potential sell pressure from the market and marks another step in Aptos’ ongoing tokenomics updates.
