CHINA’S DEEPSEEK VALUATION COULD DOUBLE TO $45 BILLION
China’s biggest state-backed chip fund, aka the “Big Fund”, is in talks to lead DeepSeek’s first major fundraising round, according to the FT.
The deal could double the AI startup’s valuation to around $45B, up from $20B when fundraising talks began just weeks ago.
tencent is also reportedly in talks to invest, but the final investor line-up has not been locked in.
