Gold’s buy-the-dip strategy today perfectly captured nearly 80 points!
Looking at the chart, an earlier pullback to a low formed support, followed by a rapid rally. After reaching the high above, prices began to stall and pull back, with the current price testing moving-average support. Short-term moving averages are still trending upward, and the bullish structure remains intact for now, but a long upper wick at the highs signals fading momentum for chasing prices higher. The news backdrop is mild, with no strong catalysts, and the market has entered a phase of consolidation at elevated level

Crude oil prices have still come down. Before the midterm elections, the U.S. and Iran worked through intermediaries, and crude oil plunged straight from 103 to 96. Macroeconomic uncertainty is easing, although this is only temporary.
But for assets such as BTC, ETH, gold, and silver, this is bullish. There will be major volatility tomorrow, so please take note. My strategy for guiding everyone remains unchanged: go long at lower levels. Let’s refocus on 76000~77000.

BTC faced resistance at the 1-hour moving average and failed to break 79000. I entered a short right after it fell below 78500, and just closed it as well.
There isn't much room to go lower, so I'll play it safe and lock in $30K first$BTC $ETH #美国中期选举进入最后冲刺

On the first trading day of the week, oil markets experienced sharp price adjustments driven by geopolitical developments. While an increase in diplomatic engagement has helped lower the market's risk premium, the underlying vulnerabilities in the region have not yet fully dissipated. Let us examine this situation through three key aspects, based on the available data and a measured perspective.
Diplomatic Outreach and the Sudden Drop in Prices
As negotiations—facilitated by Iran and Qatar—aimed at resolving the conflict involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran entered their third day, markets beg

Record Profits: The Story Behind the Numbers
In the third quarter of 2026, the "Big Five"—ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, BP, and TotalEnergies—reported a combined adjusted net profit of $56.3 billion. This marks the highest third-quarter profit in the industry's history. The primary driver of these earnings was not the price of crude oil, but rather the expansion of refining margins; ExxonMobil’s petroleum products segment generated $9.05 billion in profit, while TotalEnergies’ refining and chemicals division reached $3.6 billion.
However, for investors, this picture is more complex than a simple "rising oil prices lead to soaring profits" narrative. Much of the profit growth stems from refining margins—a direct result of product shortages caused by supply disruptions. This reflects friction within the supply chain rather than merely the direction of oil prices.
OPEC+’s "Wait-and-See" Strategy
On November 1, seven core members of OPEC+ (Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria, and Oman) opted to keep their production targets for December unchanged, maintaining a level of approximately 31 million barrels per day. This marks the third consecutive time the group has decided to make "no changes."
The implication of this decision is clear: amid the uncertainty surrounding potential disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, OPEC+ is avoiding the introduction of a new wave of supply. By keeping production targets steady, the group aims to prevent prices from becoming excessively inflated due to supply fears, while simultaneously maintaining existing production constraints. For investors, this means that the answer to the question, “Will oil supply increase?” remains uncertain.
Risk Premium in the Strait of Hormuz: Diplomacy and the Shadow of Military Action
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps reported that two tankers using an “unauthorized” route in the Strait of Hormuz struck mines and exploded. Meanwhile, Tehran is engaged in indirect negotiations with the U.S. via Qatar, working on a plan that could see the strait reopened within two days. On the other hand, U.S. President Trump has stated that he does not rule out further attacks ahead of the election.
This dual outlook explains the risk premium reflected in oil prices; a risk premium of approximately $27 per barrel for Brent crude accounts for the bulk of the price increase seen in October. Signs of diplomatic progress could lower this risk premium, but the possibility of military escalation keeps it elevated. For the individual investor, understanding the source of this volatility is more significant than merely focusing on the direction of prices.
Physical Balance: Inventories and Production Data
According to the EIA’s short-term outlook, global crude oil and liquid fuel inventories are projected to see an average daily draw of 1.34 million barrels in 2026—with a drawdown of 1.9 million barrels per day (bpd) expected in the third quarter and 0.7 million bpd in the fourth quarter. U.S. commercial crude oil inventories have fallen to 411 million barrels.
However, the same EIA report estimates that U.S. crude oil production rose to 13.486 million bpd in September, and forecasts that total liquid fuel production will increase by 0.63 million bpd in 2026. In other words, while inventories are shrinking on one hand, production is rising on the other. This balance suggests that price movements cannot be explained solely by a narrative of "scarcity."
The Demand Side: A Quiet Erosion
The EIA’s forecast for global oil consumption in 2026 stands at 102.59 million barrels per day—a decline of approximately 1.69 million barrels per day compared to the previous year—with a recovery not expected until 2027, when consumption is projected to reach 104.98 million barrels per day. This points to a clear softening on the demand side.
However, monthly data does not entirely confirm this picture: in the U.S., product supply reached 20.898 million barrels per day in September, up from 20.297 million barrels per day in August. In short, a definitive weakening in demand has yet to materialize. This uncertainty can be viewed as a factor that limits the potential for a downward shift in prices.
A Framework for the Individual Investor: Data-Driven Patience
The current oil market is defined by a three-layered equilibrium: record profits, steady production targets, and a geopolitical risk premium. Each of these layers exerts a different pull. Record profits suggest constrained supply; the steadfast stance of OPEC+ points to persistent uncertainty; and the risk premium indicates that prices remain fragile.
In this environment, "waiting for the dust to settle" emerges as a prudent approach for taking on new positions. Ultimately, the direction of oil prices depends not on any single data point, but on the interplay between these three layers. Monitoring data flow and acting in accordance with one’s own risk tolerance can help maintain a more disciplined approach during volatile periods.

Bulls and bears are locked in a close fight at 3.869; I'm on the long side of $NEAR
$NEAR is down 8.712% overnight. Good grief, it’s been slammed straight to the bottom of its 30-day range—the current price is 3.877, with the 24h low of 3.869 right beneath it.

At this level, I’m directly bullish—the 30-day range position is 0.003, right at the floor, and support at 3.869 has held all day.

11.3 $ETH $ZEC | Short-term Position Review
The ETH and ZEC positions saw little overall volatility tonight. The ZEC position was relatively small, and the two trades largely offset each other, keeping overall performance fairly steady.
The market is still mostly range-bound, with limited trend continuation for now. In the short term, entry timing and position sizing matter more.
This was also a tentative position in ZEC, mainly to generate a return. If the subsequent price action and liquidity meet expectations, I may gradually increase the position and make it a key secondary altcoin to wa

The U.S. midterm elections are entering the final stretch, with control of both chambers of Congress still at stake. Inflation, energy prices, tariffs and economic policy remain key voter concerns, while the result could shape fiscal, trade and regulatory policy over the next two years. If the balance of power in Congress changes, which policies could be affected first? How might U.S. stocks, gold and crypto trade the election outcome?
