ETH looks pretty strong today. On the 4-hour chart, it printed a bullish candle above the middle band, so the short-term recovery is real. But don’t let that candle fool you, guys. Switch to the daily chart and you’ll see the moving averages pressing down hard overhead. The higher-timeframe bearish trend hasn’t changed at all.

This rally is essentially an oversold bounce after the steep decline—not a reversal.

With 10x vs. 50x leverage and the same 1000U position, how much would you lose if the price drops 1%?
Assuming both are 1000U long positions in the same linear contract, a 1% price drop would cause a loss of about 10U in either case, excluding fees.
Different leverage levels change the initial margin requirement and affect factors like the risk buffer, but they won't make the price-based P&L on the same position change out of nowhere.
If the margin is fixed and increasing leverage also increases the position size, that's a different situation.
Beginners often confuse margin with position size.

BTC pushed up to $80,900, after reaching a high of $81,200 this morning.
My long from $79,600 is now up over $1,000.
A couple of days ago, I said the lows were getting higher each time: $79,200, $79,300, $79,400. Last night, it tested $79,400 again and held. Then it rallied early this morning, breaking above $80,700, which had capped it for several days.
This level was resistance before. Whether it can turn into support depends on whether price can hold above it today. If it pushes up and then falls back below $80,700, that’s a false breakout—the same pattern as that wick to $84,000 last week.
