Training a robot to perform a task successfully is only part of the challenge. The bigger test is whether it can still complete that task when something changes.
A different object, a new position or a change in lighting can turn a familiar situation into a completely different problem. If a robot only learns from repeated tasks in the same environment, its ability to adapt to real world conditions may remain limited.

NATO is setting its sights on the Arctic this time, competing with Russia for shipping routes and resources. As the ice melts and the routes open up, whoever controls the Arctic will hold the lifeline of global trade for decades to come.
