Brazil bans prediction market platforms

ME News, April 25 (UTC+8): Brazil has imposed a comprehensive ban on prediction markets and related platforms, and Kalshi and Polymarket are no longer accessible in the country. The Central Bank of Brazil said these platforms do not meet the regulatory requirements for derivatives trading and pose risks to investor protection and market integrity. Finance Minister Dario Durigan said about 28 platforms are covered by this ban. (Source: MLion)
