Brazil bans prediction market platform

ME News, April 25 (UTC+8), Brazil has implemented a comprehensive ban on prediction markets and related betting platforms, with Kalshi and Polymarket now inaccessible locally. The Central Bank of Brazil stated that these platforms do not meet regulatory requirements for derivatives trading and pose risks to investor protection and market integrity. Finance Minister Dario Durigan said approximately 28 platforms have been included in the ban. (Source: MLion)
