Brazil bans prediction market platform

ME News message, April 25 (UTC+8): Brazil has implemented a comprehensive ban on prediction markets and related betting platforms, with Kalshi and Polymarket now inaccessible locally. The Central Bank of Brazil stated that these platforms do not meet derivative trading regulatory requirements and pose risks to investor protection and market integrity. Finance Minister Dario Durigan said that about 28 platforms are included in this ban. (Source: MLion)
