StarkWare plans to significantly reduce the number of validators in the STRK delegation program, raising the single delegation cap to 20 million tokens.

ME News: On July 6 (UTC+8), according to a proposal released by StarkWare, it plans to make major adjustments to the STRK delegated staking program. The number of validators will be reduced from more than 130 previously to a maximum of 31, and the strategy will shift from “expanding coverage” to “deep collaboration.” The third round of delegation is divided into two channels: Channel A has up to 26 slots. Each validator can receive at least 15,000,000 STRK in delegated staking, with an upper limit of 20,000,000 STRK. The eligibility requirements are that the mainnet online rate reaches 99% over the past three months and meets at least one of the following criteria: (1) STRK staking volume ranks in the top 8 (excluding StarkWare and the Starknet Foundation); (2) a top cross-chain infrastructure provider (up to 8 additional slots); or (3) an ecosystem application developer that has paid network transaction fees of no less than 2,000 USD per month on average over the past three months (up to 10 additional slots). Channel B has up to 5 slots, with each validator receiving 5,000,000 STRK. It is aimed at community members who actively participate in decentralized discussions, and it requires both the mainnet and testnet online rates to be 99%. The new rules are expected to take effect in five weeks, and community feedback is currently open for a two-week period. (Source: Foresight News)
