People waiting for the testnet points snapshot are more anxious than those waiting for a bus. The group asks every day, "Will the mainnet finally issue a token?" I told them, first figure out the slashing mechanism of restaking before asking...
The EigenLayer style gameplay essentially treats ETH as universal collateral. Stacking layers of yield sounds nice, but shared security means shared risk. I've seen people throw their LST into Pendle to discount, pushing the paper APY into triple digits. Ask them what triggers slashing, and they can't answer.
My approach is quite conservative: wait for confirmation (auditing a contract isn't a one-time read), wait for a pullback (the points hype always has a cooling-off period), and wait until I understand clearly (where does this yield come from, who pays for it?). Treat positions as seasoning, control emotions like heat, and if things go wrong, accept it—but don't crash on the words "I thought."
