The termination of cognition is the greatest sorrow in a person's spiritual world, because it is often intangible, and even the individual themselves may not realize it. The gap between people does not mainly come from age, but from whether their cognition continues to be updated. The world is always changing, and the essence of cognition is constantly correcting one's understanding of the world. When a person stops learning, stops thinking, and stops updating their worldview, they will gradually interpret current reality based on past experiences and seek new worlds with old maps. Over time, cognition shifts from openness to closure, from exploration to rigidity. When reality conflicts with cognition, they no longer reflect on their judgments but refuse to accept new facts. Physical aging is inevitable, but cognitive aging can be delayed. A person's true age does not depend on how many years they have lived, but on the day their worldview ceases to grow.
