#RLUSDisnowonGate
The listing of RLUSD on Gate caught my attention. Ripple's dollar-backed stablecoin move has been long awaited, and the simultaneous launch of RLUSD/USDT, along with BTC, ETH, and XRP pairs, looks positive in terms of liquidity.
As someone who follows the XRP ecosystem, I'm curious whether RLUSD's use cases will expand over time.
Gate's listing of RLUSD shouldn't be seen simply as the addition of a new stablecoin.
RLUSD is being launched alongside BTC, ETH, and XRP pairs. This move can be interpreted as Ripple's attempt to expand its stablecoin strategy to a broader liquidity network.
Key metrics I will be watching in the coming days:
• Trading volume
• On-chain supply growth
• Exchange integrations
• Institutional use cases
Ecosystem incentives may attract market interest in the early days, but in the long term, usage and liquidity will be the determining factors. Competition in the stablecoin market is fierce, but the institutional reach that the Ripple brand can provide should not be overlooked. RLUSD's real test will begin not today, but in the coming months.
Dozens of new stablecoins enter the market every year, but very few are sustainable.
RLUSD's advantage is not only that it is dollar-backed; it has Ripple's global payment network and institutional relationships built over the years behind it.
Access to liquidity will be easier with the Gate listing. But the most important thing is whether RLUSD can create real use cases.
The simultaneous launch of BTC/RLUSD, ETH/RLUSD, and XRP/RLUSD pairs is noteworthy.
Do you think RLUSD can gain a significant share in the stablecoin market currently dominated by USDT and USDC?
Or is this just a limited product targeting the XRP ecosystem?
I'm curious to hear your thoughts. 👇
