Trump’s family’s WLFI donates $250k to sponsor UFC White House event prize money
The Trump family crypto project World Liberty Financial (WLFI) becomes the presenting sponsor of the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House South Lawn, providing $250k USD1 stablecoin as a Fight of the Night prize. Multiple crypto companies including Crypto.com, Polymarket, and Exodus also show up at the White House South Lawn.
(Background recap: The Trump family’s WLFI applies for a U.S. national trust bank license, aiming to issue the USD1 stablecoin independently.)

The Trump family’s crypto project World Liberty Financial (WLFI) officially becomes the presenting sponsor of the UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House South Lawn, and will provide $250k USD1 stablecoin as the Fight of the Night prize. The event also serves as a celebration of former U.S. President Trump’s 80th birthday.
WLFI boosts the UFC prize pool
WLFI co-founder Zach Witkoff posted a video on X (Twitter) last Friday, announcing that WLFI would serve as the presenting sponsor of UFC Freedom 250 and adding to the Fight of the Night prize. In the post, he said, “WLFI is honored to be the presenting sponsor of the UFC Freedom 250 event 🦅. We’ve added $250k USD1 as the Fight of the Night prize.”
It’s worth noting that Zach Witkoff is the son of U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, further tightening the link between the Trump family’s crypto plans and the White House.
Multiple crypto companies gather at the White House
Besides WLFI, several other crypto currency companies appeared at this UFC event. The cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com is the event’s co-presenting partner, and logos for multiple crypto companies—including VeChain, Polymarket, and Stake—will be displayed inside the UFC octagon.
Predictive market platform Polymarket (with Donald Trump Jr., the president’s second son, serving as an advisor) told the media that the company is honored to sponsor UFC Freedom 250 and will present a community award “recognizing outstanding service among military, police, and first responders.” Decentralized finance platform Exodus became an official UFC payment partner two weeks ago and will roll out fan experience activities during the event.
UFC CEO Dana White announced weeks ago that this year’s Fight of the Night prize would be the highest in UFC history, totaling $1 million worth of CRO tokens (Crypto.com’s native token). WLFI’s USD1 prize is an additional boost on top of this already substantial award.
Federal judge dismisses the lawsuit
Just as the event was about to kick off, two residents of Virginia filed a lawsuit, arguing that this for-profit event should not be held on federal government property in a lawful manner. However, U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta (appointed during the Obama administration) ruled that the plaintiffs lacked legal standing and that the request for emergency intervention was filed too late, dismissing the request.
Meanwhile, the White House has repeatedly denied that crypto companies associated with Trump appearing at White House events would create conflicts of interest.
