#MyGateTradeStory Solana Recovery: Why I Started Buying When Others Were Selling

While most traders are focusing on Bitcoin and Ethereum, Solana is quietly delivering one of the strongest recoveries in the market. Today, SOL trades at $68.97, gaining +3.01% (+$2.02) with a daily range between $66.61 and $69.55. Volume has climbed to $66.3 million, suggesting renewed market interest and steady accumulation.

What makes this move interesting is where it started.
Only recently, Solana dropped from $97.35 to $61.48, losing nearly 35% of its value. Fear dominated market sentiment, social media was filled with bearish predictions, and many traders rushed to exit positions.

My approach was different.
Rather than reacting emotionally, I focused on data. At $63, I began building a position. The RSI indicated oversold conditions, while Bollinger Bands showed SOL trading nearly 2.5 standard deviations below its 30-day moving average. Historically, such conditions often create opportunities for mean-reversion rallies.
To manage risk, I divided my entries into multiple levels:
• Buy Order 1: $63
• Buy Order 2: $62
• Buy Order 3: $61.50
The first two orders were filled, bringing my average entry price to $62.50. With SOL currently at $68.97, the position is up approximately 10.3%.
Current Technical Outlook
• MACD rise probability: 47.79%
• Bollinger Bands: 48.37% rise vs 51.63% fall
• RSI: 47.76% rise vs 52.24% fall
• Moving Average rise probability: 42.86%
Although some indicators remain cautious, momentum is clearly improving. Price action is strengthening before the lagging indicators have fully confirmed the trend.
Key Levels I'm Watching
Resistance:
• $70
• $75
Support:
• $66
• $64
If SOL maintains strength above $68, a move toward $72 becomes increasingly likely. Meanwhile, ecosystem fundamentals continue improving as DeFi activity recovers, NFT volume increases, and new projects continue launching on Solana.
My Current Plan
• Maintain current position
• Add 20% if SOL breaks above $70 with strong volume
• Add another 30% above $75 confirmation
• Stop-loss remains at $62
• Profit targets: $78, $85, and $95
The biggest lesson Solana has taught me is that volatility creates opportunity. Sharp declines create fear, but they can also create some of the best risk-to-reward setups for disciplined traders.
For me, this trade was never about chasing hype. It was about identifying an oversold asset, following a structured plan, and trusting the data over emotions.
At $68.97, I believe the recovery story is still unfolding. The next chapter could be even more interesting.
