【Fair-Access Hold】

Therefore, Pi Launchpad has optimized and launched a mechanism called fair-access hold (formerly called "stake" or "PiPower").
Its core purpose is: to prevent high-balance users ("whales") from dominating the distribution of ecosystem tokens, thereby making token allocation more widespread and fair.
#PiNetwork
Simply put, when you participate in Pi Launchpad's token issuance, it’s not just about who invests the most money or who is fastest, but may also consider how long you hold Pi tokens, the amount you hold, or other actions (such as staking) to allocate quotas. This way, ordinary users also have more opportunities to obtain new tokens.
In the past, grabbing new tokens on Pi Launchpad was like “who has more money and who is faster, who can grab more.” Whales could pour in a lot of Pi and easily take most of the quota.
Now, the fair-access hold has been changed to: it’s not about who invests the most at once, but who is more “loyal.” For example, if you hold Pi for a long time or stake a portion of it for the long term without moving it, the system considers you a “reliable user” and will prioritize allocating quotas to you.
The original intention of the improvement:
Project teams found that every time new tokens are issued, only a few large holders dominate, and ordinary users can’t get any. This leads to:
· Token concentrated in the hands of a few, easy to dump
· Ordinary users have no motivation to participate in the ecosystem
· The project appears to be a “whale’s game,” losing community trust.
Core objectives:
1. Allow more ordinary people to get a share, even if you only have a few hundred Pi, as long as you hold long-term, you have a chance.
2. Prevent monopolization by large holders; no matter how much money you have, if you are unwilling to lock it long-term, you won’t have priority.
3. Encourage long-term holding and stable consensus.
4. Make token distribution more decentralized; with more people, everyone gets a little, making it harder for a single force to manipulate the token, and the price becomes more stable.
