ME News Report, June 13 (UTC+8), at the Web4.0 Innovation Forum, Dr. Zheng Songyan, CEO of Hong Kong Cyberport, pointed out that current enterprise AI applications are far from meeting expectations. The fundamental reason is not talent or technology, but the lack of understanding of AI among top corporate leaders. He shared a case: a construction company boss used AI to develop an ERP system in three weeks that would normally take nine months and cost over one million yuan; a cybersecurity company’s entire staff used AI for development, with a daily token consumption exceeding 500 million tokens per person. These examples show that AI capabilities are already within reach, but if executives do not truly understand its value, they cannot promote implementation.

Zheng Songyan revealed that Cyberport is focusing on building the Web4.0 ecosystem, first strengthening the technological foundation and implementing a Token system. Simultaneously, they launched the OPC entrepreneurship program, offering free support to lower barriers, helping individuals and teams to explore the new AI track, and creating Hong Kong as an international innovation hub for Web4.0.
