6月8日，我国“十五五”时期开工建设的首个国家重大标志性工程三峡水运新通道正式开工。工程包含三峡枢纽新通道和葛洲坝航运扩能，设计通航船舶为10000吨级，三峡水运新通道工程规模巨大、难度空前，历经十余年论证设计、数十年技术储备，总投资约772.08亿元。
工程建成后将大幅提升航运效率，有利于长江综合立体交通走廊高质量发展，有利于推动长江经济带发展战略实施，有利于构建国内国际双循环发展格局，有利于生态优先绿色发展理念落地见效。(央视新闻)
