During Computex 2026 computer expo, industry giants once again emphasized a trend: only by efficiently coordinating CPUs, GPUs, storage, and networks to build system-level capabilities can the true value of large-scale AI applications be unleashed. This year, a set of forecast data has appeared multiple times in media reports: driven by the demand for Agentic AI, the ratio of CPUs to GPUs in data centers will gradually shift from the traditional 1:8 to 1:4, 1:2, or even 1:1. Intel Data Center Group Vice President and China General Manager Chen Baoli also introduced that a leading domestic large model manufacturer has increased its CPU demand fivefold from last year to this year. "This is feedback from real customers. As for whether the future ratio will be 1:1 or even higher, since AI development is still in its early stages, it’s too early to draw conclusions." Bank of America Securities estimates that by 2030, the global server CPU market size will reach up to $125 billion, with a compound annual growth rate of 31%, of which AI server CPUs will account for as much as 77%. According to Caixin reporter observations, chip manufacturers are all targeting the opportunities in data center CPUs brought by the AI wave, and the "battle" among major players has already begun.
