#My Gate Trading Moments

#
My biggest loss was actually my first gold trade.

That day, I saw for the first time that Gate Exchange could trade gold, and I was so excited I couldn't contain myself. The gold price was skyrocketing, making my eyes light up. I thought to myself, "If I wait for a pullback to buy, I’ll definitely make a profit." So, I decisively placed a $5,000 order.

At first, everything went smoothly, and my account showed a small profit, and I secretly cheered, "Yes, this is in the bag." Unfortunately, human greed is always faster than the market. I thought gold would continue to rise and wanted to pursue higher gains, so I chose to hold on. Unexpectedly, the market played a joke on me, and the price plunged into 5030, trapping me badly.
I don’t know when I’ll break even; now it’s almost below 4000.
Gradually, I got used to it. Because of the sharp decline at that time, I shorted BTC and also made quite a bit of profit.

Losses are naturally painful, but looking back, this trade taught me a lot. At least, I experienced the advantages of the Gate platform — extremely low slippage, low fees, and every order was very smooth, without extra costs caused by platform issues.

Losing so much on my first trade was painful, but it was also a growth experience. Next time, I will be more rational, calmer, and avoid emotional trading.
