Lawmakers in Delaware and New Jersey are pushing forward with bills to fully ban crypto ATMs, citing that such machines are widely used for scams. The Delaware House Economic Committee has submitted the relevant bill for full chamber review, and the New Jersey Senate Business Committee has also unanimously approved a similar bill, aiming to prohibit the possession, installation, operation, or sale of crypto ATMs.

Reports indicate that Indiana, Tennessee, and Minnesota have already enacted comprehensive bans on crypto ATMs. FBI data shows that in 2025, nearly 13.5k complaints involving crypto ATMs were received, with losses exceeding $388 million. The number of complaints increased by 23% year-over-year, and the total loss amount rose by 58% year-over-year, with over half of the complaints coming from people over 50 years old. (Cointelegraph)
