CryptoWorld News reports, citing Axios, that although fighting broke out, negotiations are still ongoing. A regional source said that over the past two days, Iranian and U.S. officials held parallel talks in Doha with Qatari mediators. Qatar had attempted to arrange a three-party meeting to directly negotiate the remaining differences, but Iran rejected the proposal. Qatari mediators traveled to Tehran on Wednesday to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi and other Iranian officials, in an effort to push the negotiation process forward again. Two U.S. officials said they hope Tuesday’s strike will prompt Iran to take action and respond to Trump’s proposals, and that Trump’s threats are part of the same pressure strategy. One U.S. official said: “The deal is still on the table, but if Iran continues to delay and respond passively, the President is ready to make Iran pay the price.”

The coffee in Doha has cooled down, and the flight from Tehran has just taken off.
