CryptoWorld News reports, according to the Financial Times of the UK, that Iran stated in the latest round of military clashes between the US and Iran, the US airstrikes destroyed two water storage facilities located in Hormozgan Province in southern Iran, causing about 20k residents in the area to lose water supply. The escalation occurred after Iran shot down a US military helicopter in the Strait of Hormuz. In response, the US military launched airstrikes on targets in southern Iran during the night. The US Central Command stated that US fighter jets used "precision-guided munitions" to strike Iran's air defense systems, ground command and control stations, and surveillance radar facilities near the Strait of Hormuz, describing the operation as a "tit-for-tat response" to Iran's recent attacks on US military and commercial ships. However, officials from Hormozgan Province said that the airstrikes carried out early Wednesday morning destroyed two water tanks with a total capacity of 2,500 cubic meters. These facilities provided drinking water to the city of Kuhestak and around 10 villages in the Beman region. Local officials stated that after the destruction of the facilities, approximately 20k residents were affected by water supply disruptions.

Nighttime airstrikes + precision munitions, the U.S. military is very experienced with this process.

Building infrastructure is just too intense; even civilians having access to drinking water has become a problem.

Is a proportional response? Is cutting off water for 20,000 residents and shooting down a helicopter equivalent?
