According to Thaiger, Thai police arrested 8 suspects in Bangkok on June 9th, who are suspected of robbing a 35-year-old Chinese man of 196,000 Thai Baht during an offline cryptocurrency exchange. The police said the victim had previously arranged online to exchange Thai Baht for cryptocurrency and met at a gas station café in Bueng Kum District, Bangkok, on June 4th, where one suspect took cash and fled to a waiting motorcycle. The police stated that a total of 9 people were involved in the incident, using 6 motorcycles to leave the scene; currently, 1 suspect is still at large. During the search, police seized the involved motorcycle, clothing, helmets, and 81,000 Thai Baht in cash. The 8 suspects are charged with using vehicles to commit robbery and assist in escape, as well as criminal conspiracy. The case has been handed over to Khok Khram Police Station for investigation.
