For me, it was a leveraged Bitcoin position that looked perfect on paper. The breakout seemed confirmed, momentum was strong, and confidence was high. Within hours, the market reversed sharply and wiped out weeks of gains. It was painful, frustrating, and humbling.

That loss taught me something I had never fully understood before: trading is not about predicting the market. It is about managing risk.

Since then, my approach has completely changed. I stopped chasing hype, reduced position sizes, focused on probability instead of certainty, and developed a strict risk management framework. I learned to use stop-losses, maintain a trading journal, and treat every trade as a business decision rather than an emotional reaction.

Over the years, Gate has been an important part of that journey. From spot trading to futures and automated grid strategies, the platform provided the tools I needed to grow as a trader while adapting to changing market conditions.

Today, my goal is no longer to get rich quickly. My goal is consistency. I focus on protecting capital, following my trading plan, and letting discipline work in my favor over time.
