I have lived in Germany for 26 years, and I always feel grateful and experience indescribable peace. My two children were born here, and Germany is their home—just as it is mine and my wife’s.

But this year, there are politicians who are making Germany unstable. People like me are left feeling extremely insecure.
Even though I am still Vietnamese, Germany is my home—my home—and that of millions of other immigrants. We are always trying to integrate, earn our living, and contribute a small part of ourselves.
But we feel that our presence is being attacked and met with hostility. Many politicians today have quite strange ideas: they are not only against immigrants, but they also deny that immigrants contribute to the development of the country. And they also increase discrimination among Germans against people from East and West Germany.
IS THIS POLITICS OR WHAT? ARE THEY GOING TO BUILD GERMANY LIKE THIS?
