Singapore EP has a pretty attractive policy: you can contribute up to 34,000 SGD annually to your SRS account, and this money can be invested in the S&P 500 or other U.S. stock assets, while also reducing taxable income.

Simply put: contribute 34,000 SGD each year, and you can save about 7,000 SGD in income tax.
Last year, I put in 34,000 SGD to buy the S&P 500, and this year I saw it has already increased by 17%.
This is the first time I truly realize how profitable dollar-cost averaging into the S&P 500 can be.
Now I’m actually thinking of contributing more this year... 🤣
