🟣 Everyone is worried about Claude's Mythos, but should we really be concerned?

According to @AnthropicAI, the Mythos model helped identify more than 10,000 serious vulnerabilities, including some that had gone undetected for decades. Given these results, the company literally described the emergence of this model as a "pivotal moment."
Naturally, with hacks continuing to pile up, everyone is asking whether the on-chain finance ecosystem has reason to worry.
👉 At this stage, our view is: no. Fable 5 is similar to Mythos, but far more limited and explicitly constrained. Just hours after the model's release, most security researchers, like @banteg or @tayvano_, even agree that Fable can't be used to conduct basic audits.
That said, the widespread adoption of tools like these will, over time, expand the potential attack surface across the protocols we know.
This is precisely why those same protocols will need to leverage these tools themselves to prevent potential exploits. As such, this shift should rather be seen as an opportunity to further harden the entire DeFi stack.
For users, the emergence of these models shouldn't be a wake-up call to start securing their wallets. Security must remain an absolute priority, at all times.
