Two smart money investors have bought: “Will Russia occupy Lyman before December 31, 2026?” According to Beating Monitoring, top venture capital firms represented by Founders Fund and Thrive Capital are speeding up fundraising, shortening the fundraising cycle from the traditional 2–3 years to less than two years. Because model providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic frequently launch large-scale financing rounds, venture capital spending is moving far faster than expected.
Next, there are three things to watch: whether the relevant funds continue to keep flowing in, whether on-chain trading volume and open positions continue to expand, and whether the project team or the regulatory side provides new confirmation information. A single breaking news alert can only show that sentiment has been ignited; it is the subsequent data that will determine whether it can crystallize into a trend.
Risks also need to be put on the table: taking Founders Fund as an example, they only just raised $4.6 billion last year, and this year they have started raising another $6 billion—mainly because they wrote average checks of $600 million into 7 companies, including OpenAI and Anthropic. In a financing round in which Anthropic’s pre-money valuation was $900 billion and the deal size reached $65 billion, each of the four lead investors contributed more than $2 billion.
