When you’re young, you rely on working hard to save money and restrain your spending—by the time you’re thirty, you’ll truly pull ahead of others.

Even if you start working at 22, earning over 10,000 yuan a month, and you save an extra 5,000 yuan more than others every month with a 5% annual return, then by age 30 you’ll already have 600,000 yuan in savings.
Even if you become unemployed at that point and spend 2,000 yuan a month, you will never run out of that 600,000 yuan in a lifetime, while your same-aged peers who haven’t saved might end up just barely getting by, living paycheck to paycheck.
The gap between you—taste it for yourself: by restraining your consumption and working hard to save, you can definitely have far more peace of mind and composure than others after 10 years.
