Deep Tide TechFlow message: on June 10, Botanix—an EVM-compatible Layer 2 network for Bitcoin and other assets—announced that it will gradually shut down the Botanix network, and reminded the community that users must withdraw Bitcoin and other assets before July 9, 2026; afterward, remaining Bitcoin will be consolidated, and other assets or tokens on the network will be unrecoverable.

Botanix said that although Spiderchain has gone live on the mainnet and has operated normally for 1 year with no security incidents, and has achieved approximately 25 million transactions, 200,000 wallets, and the transfer of tens of millions of dollars in assets, the team believes that its Bitcoin-based blockchain and application experiments were unable to validate product-market fit within the current market and time window, and therefore decided to stop operating.
