Gate【Direct Access to IPO】 First Phase SpaceX Launch: Low Barrier + Real Stocks, I want to share the gameplay and thoughts on this new channel

🚀 Gate recently launched the "Direct Access to IPO" feature, with the first project directly targeting SpaceX (code SPCX). When I saw this news, my first reaction was—finally, a platform that allows ordinary users to try their luck with tech giants' IPOs at a relatively low threshold.

Participation starts from just 100 USDT, referencing an intended price of $135 per share + 5% fee, approximately 141.75 USDT per share. The maximum per person is 500k USDT. Subscription uses USDT, from 6:00 PM on June 9 to 12:00 PM on June 12 (UTC+8). If allocated, shares are directly credited to the Gate stock account within 24 hours after listing, tradable normally, with no lock-up period.

I paid special attention to this point, which is different from traditional IPOs. It’s not simply first-come, first-served, but based on the proportion of the average locked amount per hour during the lock-up period.

Here's a simple example (from the announcement):
- You invest 100k USDT and keep it locked from the first hour → average locked amount is 100k
- Invest only in the 33rd hour → average about 50k
- Invest in the last hour → average just over 1,500

The weight difference is quite significant. So, to increase your chances of allocation, early participation and maintaining the lock-up are key. Funds are locked throughout the cycle and cannot be traded, withdrawn, or transferred. After subscription ends, fees are deducted based on actual allocation, with any excess returned.

I tested with the minimum 100 USDT mainly to experience this channel. Traditional US stock IPOs rarely give retail investors much chance, but Gate opening this route provides a formal way to try, even if not guaranteed to get shares.

Why is SpaceX worth paying attention to?
SpaceX’s story itself is big: Starlink is already deployed globally, NASA and commercial launch orders are ongoing, and its valuation has been highly speculative in private markets for a long time. If this IPO goes smoothly, it could be a major catalyst for space, satellite internet, and future Mars concepts. But IPO pricing is uncertain, and post-listing volatility is likely to be high. The reference price of $135 is just an intention; the final outcome depends on the book-building results.

Also note:
- Not guaranteed to get shares 100%; it could be full allocation, partial, or none (depending on Gate’s quota).
- If the final price deviates more than 20% from the reference, a secondary confirmation may be triggered.
- Crypto users participating in the US stock channel should evaluate exchange rates, taxes, and overall risk exposure.

For me, this feature is more like an "affordable trial window for global IPOs." If more quality projects launch later, familiarizing with the process will make operations smoother.

Risk reminder: Direct IPO access carries high risk, funds will be locked, allocation is uncertain, and stock prices can fluctuate greatly after listing. Please participate cautiously after fully understanding the rules and your risk tolerance, and do your own research.

What do you think of this new feature? Is it better to lock in early and take a shot, or wait and see the actual allocation? Feel free to discuss in the comments.
