According to the latest report from CrowdStrike cited by Forbes, the North Korea-backed hacker group FAMOUS CHOLLIMA accounted for 47% of targeted hands-on-keyboard intrusion incidents against North American, European, and Asian tech companies from April 2025 to March 2026. The group infiltrates corporate networks by applying for remote software development positions, then deploys malware and steals cryptocurrencies from blockchain developers. The report states that the United States previously coordinated with 15 other countries to target the group's technical infrastructure and cryptocurrency-related operations. Additionally, CrowdStrike warns that AI is accelerating the complexity, scale, and speed of cyberattacks, and the group has also leveraged AI to improve attack efficiency.
