Backpack US appoints former U.S. SEC Acting Chair and Commissioner Michael Piwowar as a board member to promote the development of its U.S. crypto perpetual contract business. Piwowar served as an SEC commissioner from 2013 to 2018 and briefly served as Acting Chair at the beginning of Trump's first term. Backpack stated that after the CFTC recently approved the United States' first compliant Bitcoin perpetual contract, the company plans to further expand its perpetual contract products in the U.S. market.
