Society and Reality

1. People come and go, and respect is for positions, not for individuals.
2. Generations breaking new ground are not as hardworking as ten years of studying in silence; ten years of studying in silence are not as good as three generations in business.
3. If you're not doing well, avoid visiting relatives often, for fear they think you're just there to take advantage.
4. Don't be easily commanded by others; if you get used to being ordered around, you'll truly become an easy target for bullying and a pushover.
5. If you're doing better and better, don't tell anyone, including your parents, or distant relatives will keep increasing.
6. Only after experiencing hardship once can you see clearly who is around you and how many friends you still have left.
7. Many can tolerate a stranger’s rise to success, but cannot tolerate someone close to them constantly advancing.
8. The idea that poverty only lasts three generations is a lie; the poor are likely to remain poor because the ability to make money is taught by parents, and without breakthroughs, poverty continues.
