I recently saw an interesting betting market on Polymarket, betting on Messi, Ronaldo, and Neymar—who can take their national team the furthest in the World Cup.

Currently, Messi and Argentina are the favorites. I’m also a die-hard Messi fan, but honestly, compared to the 2022 team that kept winning all the way through, this Argentina team feels really different now; their overall form and chemistry seem to be a bit off.
To be honest, I think Portugal and Brazil have stronger lineups than Argentina, and right now, they seem more likely to go further. Portugal’s starting lineup is basically composed of top European club players, like B. Fee, Vitinha, and Mendes—each of them can be considered world-class in their positions.
And I personally feel that Portugal’s midfield might be the strongest among all teams in this World Cup, which could be a huge advantage in the knockout stages.
So from a trading perspective, I’m keeping an eye on Portugal’s chances, looking for a good entry point. But the market liquidity is still pretty low right now; I think it will only pick up as the knockout rounds approach, making it easier to enter and exit positions then.
Here’s the market link:
