Ansem: Cryptocurrency is not dead but has entered a mature stage; stablecoins, perpetual contracts, and tokenization will continue to expand.

ME News message: On June 8 (UTC+8), crypto KOL Ansem posted on X to refute the view that “cryptocurrency is dead,” saying the industry is currently going through a mature phase. Stablecoins, perpetual contracts, and tokenization will continue to spread throughout the global economy. Projects such as Hyperliquid have demonstrated the strong potential of open blockchains combined with business tokenization. Bitcoin’s current underperformance is temporary, mainly due to Strategy-related operations and concerns about quantum computing. Ethereum, meanwhile, is under pressure because it has failed to effectively capture application revenue, with the execution layer outsourced to Rollups. Ansem also stressed that the regulatory environment is improving, and major tech companies (such as Robinhood and Stripe) are actively integrating blockchain technology. In addition, as AI model capabilities improve exponentially, three major trends—open-source AI, easier-to-build startups, and stablecoins and blockchain as AI agent trading infrastructure—will drive more experimentation and innovation in the crypto space.
