I have compiled a list of several crashes and recovery times in the history of the U.S. stock market.

1907 Panic - 48% decline, 10 years to recover
1929 Great Depression - 89% decline, 25 years to recover
1973 Oil Crisis - 45% decline, 9 years to recover
1987 Black Monday - 36% decline, 2 years to recover
2000 Dot-com Bubble - 78% decline, 13 years to recover
2008 Financial Crisis - 57% decline, 5.5 years to recover
2020 COVID Flash Crash - 34% decline, 6 months to recover
2022 Rate Hike Shock - 27% decline, 18 months to recover
2025 Storm of Uncertainty - 23% decline, 1.5 months to recover
I found an interesting piece of information: the recovery time after a stock market crash in the U.S. has been getting shorter and shorter.
So, from a value investing perspective, every time the U.S. stock market drops more than 20%, you can buy with confidence.
