$SOL International Space Station Russian Module Repair Expert: Leak Issue Worsening but Still Safe

Due to the worsening air leak problem on the International Space Station, two Russian astronauts carried out repair operations on the 5th. Meanwhile, another five astronauts temporarily entered the "Dragon" spacecraft for safety. After the repair operation was halted, the astronauts who took refuge returned to the International Space Station. Experts stated that this was done out of caution and similar operations have been carried out before. It is understood that the air leak issue on the International Space Station can be traced back to 2019, and has persisted for many years, with the severity of the leak fluctuating. In recent months, the US and Russian sides have been debating the cause of the leak and repair plans for this long-standing leaking module. Experts said that although the air leak has worsened, the space station remains safe at present.

It started leaking in 2019, and it's only gotten worse now. Who should take responsibility for this?

The US and Russia arguing over repair plans has been going on for months, and the space station is almost turning into a sieve.

The Russian module has been leaking for five years. How much longer can it last with patching and repairs?

The Dragon spacecraft is on standby; this operation is quite stable, safety first.
