ME News message: On May 17 (UTC+8), Curve founder Michael Egorov expressed doubts about a governance proposal from Fluid. The proposal plans to transfer the fGHO and iETHv2 positions from the protocol treasury to the team’s multi-signature account to repay the bad debts left behind after the Resolv protocol de-pegged. Members of the Aerodrome community pointed out that this move could affect depositors’ risk exposure. The Fluid team responded that this is a normal technical operation to unify the settlement of debts related to the Resolv protocol; the total asset amount is unchanged, and all steps are carried out within the governance framework. This March, the Resolv protocol suffered a hack, which involved maliciously minting about $80 million in unsecured USR stablecoins, causing liquidity issues. Fluid was exposed to bad debts of about $21 million. (Source: MLion)
