Lately, there’s been more arguing over secondary royalties in the NFT space. To put it plainly, it’s about how to balance free trading with creators earning a living. I’m pretty laid-back—my first reaction was that everyone had already long defaulted to, “If they can give, they give; if they can’t, then forget it”… but it turns out the emotions are even more volatile than the market. Once the royalties are gone, creators can only end up more like operational accounts; and if royalties are enforced, it’s easy to scare off liquidity—so in the end, everyone feels awkward.

I’m also a little late to catch up with this airdrop season. The task platforms are packed with anti-sybil rules that give me a headache, and the points-based system feels more like clocking in for work. The “farming for rewards” crowd is so competitive that I don’t even want to open anything. Maybe the creator economy is the same: everyone wants long-term sustainability, but once short-term incentives kick in, it’s hard for things not to get distorted. Anyway, I’ll have my tea first and just observe—no rush to pick a side.
