Japan's SBI and Rakuten plan to sell crypto investment trust products

ME News Report, May 17 (UTC+8), SBI Securities and Lotte Securities plan to sell cryptocurrency investment trust products, while several major brokerages such as Nomura Securities have stated they will consider following up after the regulatory framework is established. Nikkei News surveyed 18 major brokerages, with 11 indicating they will consider offering related products once regulation is in place. SBI Securities plans to sell funds developed by its group subsidiary SBI Global Asset Management, covering ETFs and investment trusts for highly liquid cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, with product development and sales completed entirely within the group. Lotte Securities also plans to jointly develop products with group members such as Lotte Investment Management, aiming to enable cryptocurrency investment trust trading through a smartphone app. (Source: PANews)
