These past two days, people have been arguing again about NFT royalties. Put simply, it’s creators fighting to protect their livelihoods, while secondary-market trading needs liquidity—and everyone feels wronged. When the market is cold, these contradictions become even more glaring: if your order book is a bit thinner, everyone starts calculating, “Who exactly am I working for with this order?” Last night, I honestly had a moment where I wanted to uninstall a certain platform—the endless full-screen comment war just made me so annoyed… But if I calm down and think it through, quitting doesn’t solve anything either. If creators have no income, there will be even fewer people willing to make content, and liquidity will only get worse. Anyway, I won’t chase the hot takes for now—I’ll buy fewer pieces, only choose the ones I genuinely want to hold long term, and wait for things to cool down before seeing how the rules are actually rolled out.
