10 Years in Prison for Crypto Extortion in Haute-Vienne

The French justice system has just sentenced a 22-year-old man to 10 years in prison for an attempted extortion related to cryptocurrencies in Saint-Paul, near Limoges.

The incident dates back to last March: a crypto holder was targeted by an armed gang but managed to escape before the attackers could steal anything.

This sentence, the most severe provided by law in this type of case, clearly demonstrates a desire to crack down on the rise of crypto assaults across French territory ⚖️.

Two minor accomplices are also being prosecuted, while authorities hope this conviction will serve as an example to curb these attacks
