These past couple of days, I’ve been staring at on-chain data and it’s made me question life a bit: it’s supposed to be “real-time,” but what you end up seeing may already be last night’s tea… Nodes are like the kitchen, RPC is like the window where you reach out with your hand to order straight with the staff, and the index is more like the menu page on a food delivery app—convenient, yes, but if any one step in the middle gets stuck, the “on-chain activity” you refresh will be half a beat behind, and you might even miss a few bites.

So sometimes don’t rush to blame yourself for being slow—maybe the “window” you’re looking at is just backed up in line. Especially now, when memes and celebrities’ one-sentence remarks can shift attention in a flash, everyone is scrambling for the last spot, and newcomers are the easiest to fool with screenshots or timestamps. Anyway, when I see something really hot now, I’ll first wait and confirm it again—check a couple more sources, slow my mindset down a bit. Even if the tea gets cold, it won’t burn my mouth.
