The race toward the next major technology IPO wave is becoming one of the most closely watched themes across global capital markets. As Artificial Intelligence, space technology, fintech infrastructure, and enterprise software continue attracting record levels of private capital, investors are increasingly focused on which companies will make the transition to public markets before 2027.
My highest-conviction prediction remains SpaceX. Among all potential candidates, SpaceX appears to have the strongest combination of scale, revenue growth, market demand, and investor interest. The company's dominance in launch services, rapid expansion of Starlink, and growing role in global communications infrastructure make it one of the most attractive IPO candidates of the decade. If market conditions remain favorable, SpaceX could become one of the largest public offerings in financial history and potentially redefine how investors view the space economy.
The second company I believe has a strong probability of reaching public markets before 2027 is Anthropic. The AI sector is currently experiencing a historic investment cycle, and Anthropic has emerged as one of the strongest competitors in frontier AI development. As enterprises increasingly deploy AI systems into real-world operations, companies with proven commercial models and strong enterprise adoption are likely to attract significant public market demand. Anthropic appears well-positioned to capitalize on this trend.
The most interesting case is OpenAI. While OpenAI may ultimately become the most valuable AI company to go public, its path appears more complicated. Governance structures, partnership agreements, and valuation expectations create unique challenges that could delay an IPO timeline. However, if these issues are resolved, OpenAI could easily become a trillion-dollar public market story and one of the defining listings of the AI era.
Among the mid-tier probability candidates, Stripe remains one of the strongest contenders. Stripe already operates critical payment infrastructure used globally and has achieved significant scale. Multiple delays have created uncertainty, but its underlying business fundamentals remain extremely strong. If financial markets remain supportive, Stripe could finally complete its long-awaited public debut.
Another company worth watching is Databricks. The convergence of big data, analytics, and artificial intelligence places Databricks at the center of enterprise digital transformation. As AI adoption grows, demand for advanced data infrastructure is expected to accelerate, making Databricks an attractive IPO candidate for institutional investors seeking exposure to the enterprise AI ecosystem.
For social platforms, Discord remains a possible candidate. While its valuation may be smaller than AI and infrastructure giants, Discord possesses a highly engaged user base and a recognizable global brand. Whether it chooses to go public before 2027 will likely depend on market conditions and management's long-term strategy.
As MrFlower_XingChen views it, the next IPO cycle will not be defined by social media or consumer apps as previous cycles were. Instead, it will be dominated by companies building the foundations of the future economy: Artificial Intelligence, space infrastructure, cloud computing, data platforms, and digital financial systems. Investors are increasingly looking for businesses that control critical infrastructure rather than simply consumer attention.
My ranking for IPO probability before 2027 is:
1. SpaceX โ Highest probability
2. Anthropic โ Strong probability
3. Stripe โ Moderate to high probability
4. Databricks โ Moderate probability
5. Discord โ Moderate probability
6. OpenAI โ Most valuable potential IPO, but timing remains uncertain
The biggest opportunity may not simply be predicting which company goes public first, but identifying which of these future listings will become the next generation of market leaders once they reach public markets.
