Lately, I've been bombarded with a bunch of terms like "DA/ordering/finality." To put it simply, I focus on one line: who is responsible for making sure my sent data isn't lost, messed up, and can ultimately be acknowledged. Data availability is like "where is the data stored, can everyone access it," ordering is "who determines the sequence," and finality is "when is this transaction considered settled, and can it be reversed." Looking at these three aspects together, many projects boast impressive features, but in reality, they are making trade-offs at different stages. Recently, the unlock calendar was brought up again and caused some alarm, but I'm actually more concerned about whether the main thread of on-chain settlement is stable, whether it can handle congestion or malicious attacks, and who bears the responsibility when issues arise—that's the reason I want to hold onto it long-term. That's all for now, I'll observe gradually.
