According to Cuban military authorities, Chief of Staff of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces Roberto Regrera Sota Longo met with U.S. Southern Command Commander Donovan on May 30 to discuss security issues around Guantanamo Naval Base and border areas. Based on social media announcements from the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces and U.S. Southern Command, both sides agreed to maintain communication at the command level between the two militaries.
